The 1889 Jefferson Center for Population Health has been busily working since the official ribbon-cutting was held on March 21, 2017. We’re delighted to premiere this new website to keep you better-informed about our mission and activities.

In our first months, we have focused on research and information-gathering, with the goal of identifying the key health and wellness issues our community faces, as well as potential opportunities, obstacles, and partners. We have met with more than 140 people from the community — key stakeholders in human service organizations, community leaders, healthcare workers, and others with information and resources to share. In addition, we are now compiling the results from a detailed questionnaire that has been distributed to human services organizations, and doing interviews with a diverse cross-section of people in the community to get grassroots information about health and wellness, and obstacles people face.

Thank you for your interest, and check back often for updates.
